Michel was born and raised in Paris, this is where his passion for Torah reading began.

It all started when, at the age of 6, he became part of choirs in several synagogues. Every Shabbat and Holidays, Michel was immersed in a musical atmosphere, listening to the cantors and learning from them.

There were numerous Temples around him. He therefore mastered the chanting of prayers and Torah with various tunes, Ashkenazi, Shephardi Tunisian, Moroccan… The student will then be able to choose the style of reading and singing he or she prefers.

Michel now lives in Los Angeles and reads Torah in several communities.

He is proud to have created LaBarMitzvah. Michel has been teaching for many years and he looks forward to helping you succeed as well. It would be his privilege to be on your side preparing for your Bat or Bar Mitzvah regardless of your Hebrew level or religiosity. His objective is for you to become 100% confident and ready for that special day.

Lessons can either be given in-person in Los Angeles, nationwide online with scheduling available in various time zones or worldwide via private Zoom appointments.

Michel absolutely loves teaching futur Bat and Bar Mitzvah and his goal is to pass on this love to as many students as he can.
